When we were stopping by Target to get baby cereal we found these glasses. Doesn't he look so cute in them?
This week has been an exciting week of first adventures. On Wednesday evening Cooper had his first meal of rice cereal. He is such a growing boy that we figured it was time to give him some cereal and hopefully that will fill his belly and help him sleep through the night. Steven is taking the lead in feeding Cooper and it has been a lot of fun watching them experience this new task together. When Cooper had his very first bite I snapped a picture and the expression on his face tells all. He has gotten much better about eating the cereal instead of spiting it all up, but he now has found that sucking on his hands while there is cereal in his mouth is quite delicious. Then of course he rubs his hands all over his face for a covered in cereal look. =-)
On Saturday the second graders from Little Elementary had a fun outing at the swimming pool. We were invited, so Cooper had his first swimming outing. We had a lot of fun, though Steven decided that it wasn't such a safe enviornment for a little guy like Cooper.
On Monday we went to a breakfast with the people at our church. It was really yummy. Then we went to Savers where they had a 50% off sale. It was packed with people. We each got some "new" clothes and we had to stand in line for more than 30 minutes to check out. I guess that is the price you pay for a good bargain. After that we went to Belleview park to visit the petting zoo and ride the miniature train. Here Coops and I are petting the baby cow.
Last, but not least, here in front of the mini train after our fun ride around the park. You can't see the train very well, but at least it is a picture of the 3 of us together. Thank you to the random woman that took this picture for us.
This week Cooper and I are looking forward to going to Utah to visit my family. My brother Dan is coming home from his 2 year mission on Saturday, so we are headed out to welcome him home and enjoy some family time. We will greatly miss Steven, so we'll be back soon I'm sure.
